Description
Spermogonia on both leaf surfaces, often at the centre of aecial clusters, subcuticular, sometimes appearing intraepidermal, dome- or disk-shaped, 86‒123 µm wide and 46‒67 µm high.

Aecia on both leaf surfaces, subepidermal.

Aeciospores subglobose, broadly ellipsoidal to obovoid, yellowish brown, 32‒41 × 24‒31 µm; wall 2 µm thick, echinulate, with 6‒8 germ pores.

Uredinia on both leaf surfaces, usually surrounded by telia, subepidermal or subcuticular, round.

Urediniospores subglobose, broadly ellipsoidal to obovoid, yellowish brown, 28‒38 × 23‒31 µm; wall 2‒4 µm thick at sides, 2‒8 µm thick at apex, echinulate, with 8‒10 scattered germ pores.

Telia on both leaf surfaces, subepidermal or subcuticular.
