Puccinia alyxiae Cooke & Massee

Description
Telia on stems and both leaf surfaces, erumpent, black, peridium present.

Teliospores cylindrical or fusiform, apex acuminate or rounded, 1 or 2 celled, yellowish brown, 32‒46 × 20‒24 µm; wall 2‒3 µm thick, sometimes thickened (5‒7 µm) at apex, smooth, pedicel persistent, 10 µm.

Mesospores ellipsoidal, yellowish-brown, 27‒35 × 18‒24 µm.
