Puccinia arthrocnemi Hansf.

Description
Uredinia scattered on stems, round to ellipsoidal, surrounded by the ruptured epidermis, yellowish brown, up to 1 mm diam., erumpent.

Urediniospores ellipsoidal or obovoid, yellowish brown, 27‒48 × 21‒27 µm, base truncate and 5‒8 µm wide; wall 2‒3 µm thick, sparsely echinulate, with 8‒13 rather inconspicuous scattered germ pores.

Telia scattered, up to 0.5 mm diam., round, dark brown to black, surrounded by the ruptured epidermis, becoming pulverulent.

Teliospores ellipsoidal or cylindrical, rounded at both ends, or the apex papillate, reddish brown, paler towards the base, smooth, not or very slightly constricted at the septum, 44‒62 × 29‒45 µm; wall 2‒2.5 µm thick at the sides, 5‒8 µm thick at the apex. Pedicel collapses, hyaline, 50‒110 × 7‒12 µm, thin walled.
