Puccinia boroniae Henn.

Description
Telia on lower leaf surface on leaf spots ca. 2mm diameter, subepidermal, erumpent, dome-shaped, less than 1000 µm, reddish brown.

Teliospores cylindrical, apex acuminate or rounded, 2 celled or sometimes 1 or 3 celled, yellowish brown, 30‒42 × 14‒20 µm; wall 1.5‒3.5 µm thick at sides, 3‒5 µm thick at apex, smooth, with single persistent pedicel, up to 120 µm.

Mesospores ellipsoidal, yellowish-brown, 24‒37 µm × 16‒21 µm.

Comments
Puccinia boroniae occurs on the stems of Boronia and the leaves of Chorilaena. Preliminary systematic analyses determined the rusts on Boronia and Chorilaena were identical (unpublished).
