Ravenelia indigoferae Tranzschel & Dietel

Description
Uredinia on leaves, amphigenous, subepidermal, erumpent, round, 0.5-1.0 mm, scattered, dark brown; paraphyses clavate to capitate, up to 22 µm diam., 70 µm long, pale yellowish brown, darker at apex, intrasoral, thin walled, up to 4 µm thick at apex.

Urediniospores ellipsoidal or oval, yellowish brown, 21‒25 × 16‒20 µm; wall 1.5‒3.0 µm thick, echinulate, spines about 2 µm apart, 9‒14 conspicuous scattered germ pores present.

Telia on leaves, mostly hypophyllous, erumpent, subepidermal, 0.5‒1.0 mm diam., black to brown.

Teliospores reddish brown, 55‒110 µm with a single apical pore, comprised of many firmly agglutinated cells, 5‒7 cells in diam., each cell 16‒26 µm wide with about 5 cylindrical tubercules 3‒7 µm long and an inconpicuous germ pore, subtended by uniserate hyaline cysts of same number as peripheral cells, adpressed to spore; pedicel hyaline, deciduous, fasciculate.
