Tranzscheliella austrostipae R.G. Shivas & Vánky


Sori on the stems of sterile shoots, surrounding the uppermost internodes, partly concealed by leaf sheaths, appearing as a dark brown powdery cover; peridium absent.

Spores subglobose to ellipsoidal, slightly flattened, 7.0–10.5 × (6–) 6.5–8.0 (–9) µm, medium to  dark yellowish brown; wall uniformly c. 0.5 µm thick, apart from the flattened side of some spores where a thickened hyaline polar cap may be present; surface finely, densely and uniformly verruculose; spore profile smooth.
