Ustilago latzii Vánky


Sori in ovaries, lemon-shaped, c. 1.5–2.0 mm long and 1 mm wide, initially covered by a thin greyish membrane of host origin which ruptures irregularly exposing the dark brown powdery mass of spores.

Spores subglobose or, usually, ellipsoidal, 9–13 × 8–12 µm, yellowish brown; wall uniformly c. 0.5 µm thick, moderately densely and finely echinulate; spore profile finely serrulate.
