Ustilago lepturi-xerophili Vánky

Sori in all ovaries of the raceme, ovoid, c. 1.5 mm long and 0.8 mm wide, hidden by the floral envelopes, at first covered by a thin greyish membrane of host origin which ruptures irregularly exposing the dark brown semi-powdery mass of spores.

Spores rather variable, subglobose, ovoid, broadly ellipsoidal, elongate to irregular, 8–12 (–13) × 7.0–10.5 µm, yellowish brown; wall uniformly c. 0.5 µm thick, moderately densely punctate-echinulate which scarcely affects the spore profile.
